TOPIC 2022Message

Dear all,

We hope things with you are getting better day by day.

Due to the continuing spread of COVID-19 all over the world, we will hold the TOPIC 2022 (7th-9th, July), conference virtually on our WEBSITE this year. Therefore, unfortunately, we have decided to conduct the programmes in Japanese language only without translation. However, this by no means means that participants who do not speak Japanese are not welcome. If this year’s format is acceptable for you, we will be happy for you to join TOPIC 2022.

Thank you for your understanding.
We hope to meet you all again at a real venue in the near future.

We would like to report to you that TOPIC 2021, which was held in a web-based format after two years’ absence, attracted a total of approximately 1,500 participants with over 10,000 accesses and finished as a success. We give our utmost thanks for your dedication to our program.

Furthermore, we would like to inform you that we revised the operational organization to enhance the contents of TOPIC 2022. In addition to the four Course Directors responsible for programs in general, Dr. Takayuki Ogawa and Dr. Makoto Sekiguchi joined to continue with the change in generations. We are also brushing up the coronary, peripheral, and structure areas with the doctors who help us develop the program as Course Directors.

Although the prevalence of COVID-19 is settling down to some extent after the 5th wave in summer in Japan, the world’s COVID-19 pandemic has not been stamped out yet. Considering the situation, where clear guidelines for the organization and operation of face-to-face live demonstrations have not yet been issued from the Government or Societies, we have decided to hold TOPIC 2022 in a web-based format, the same as last year. In light of our experience with TOPIC 2021, we plan to hold TOPIC 2022 over 3 days, from July 7 to July 9, JST. In addition to live demonstrations, we will increase the variety of programs, aiming for a more active and educational conference to make TOPIC 2022 as similar as possible to those before the COVID-19 pandemic.

We really appreciate your cooperation and participation.
